Georgetown Fire Department is the best of both worlds ‘ a department rich in history and a fast-growing, top-notch emergency services department.
The Department responds to more than 10,000 emergency incidents per year and has consistently added more emergency personnel and resources to meet the growing demands of the community and improve firefighter safety. Georgetown Fire Department is comprised of highly professional and dedicated members that continue to meet the increasing service demands for our community.
On October 1, 2015, Georgetown Fire Department expanded its service delivery model to provide Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to our community. These medical services are based upon progressive standard of care (SOC) protocols that seek to improve interventions and outcomes.
With new and high-tech apparatus and other life-saving programs such as the hazmat team, dive team, swift-water rescue team, wildland, combat challenge and bike team, Georgetown Fire Department seeks to redefine the traditional emergency service model.
